I had been looking forward to the June Lake Autumn Beer Festival since I heard they where having it again. June Lake is so nice in the fall the Aspen trees turn into a fiery orange color reflecting off the lake. I was also excited because my friend KC got a Surley Pugsley Fatbike hooray another person to fatbike with. He is also a craft beer fan. Fast-forward 3 months. So he and a few friends got an old retro fishing type cabin which was conveniently near the beer fest June Lake Pines Cottages
This trip involved the three B’s Bikes, Beans, Beer. The Cottage also was across from a coffee shop I like, Trout Town Joe.
So up at 8am rode across the street to grab some coffee and some fresh-baked coffee cake. “SO GOOD”. The early morning had that chill in the air. We waited for the sun to warm the air. OK it is 9:45 we better get are ride in the Beer Fest starts at 11am.
The roll out we had to stop by the brewery for the official start.
On a normal day I would stop by drink a pint then go ride. OK we headed out to the Gull Lake trailhead.
The colors where kicking in reflecting on the glassy lake like a mirror.
The ride was about a 5.5 miles perfect for enjoying the environment the ride and not being to tired for a day of beer drinking and great sunshine. June Lake is such a beautiful place.
We where having a great time riding the fat bikes winding thru the Aspen Trees.
The ride kinda rolled up in down with a short about 150 feet of climbing. We then dropped back down to the back of Gull Lake.
We came to a double track then started to climb another 200ish ft climb.
After about an hour of riding and stopping to look around and photo ops it was time to get to the Festival and taste some great Beers.

The brew fest was fun drinking beer with friends. The venue was in a park with a back drop of Gull Lake and towering Sierra Peaks.
The Beer tasting and competition was inside the tennis court there was some great food trucks and tents set up. The music was setup on the grassy park where people where dancing. Even the kids had fun things to do like face painting and games.
Cheers Beer Drinking with friends off course we had to ask what are you trying and yes it was yummy.
The Stein Competition was fun to watch. People veins popped out of their neck and turn beet red there was a mens and woman’s event.
There was no short of Shenanigans Dudes in Cheetah Speedos and a Guy up side down. A lot of happy spirits
There was a great selection of beers so good and tasty. The weather was Indian summer like. I am already looking forward to next year. Beer and Bikes
