A great ride with the Reno Truckee Fatbike group.

Since we didn’t really have a Global Fatbike group ride with peeps in Mammoth. I wanted to ride with some fatbikers so I went to the NV Fatbike group and saw they do a group night ride on Tuesdays and heck I am off work on Tuesday night so I thought I would book a room at Circus Circus. Found out they where meeting at 5:00 pm at Raleys Shopping center on Mt. Rose Highway. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Loaded are bikes in Shawn’s Truck and drove up to I believe Mt Rose Tahoe Rim Trail.

After about a 1.5 mile the snow was not as packed down but the large 4.7inch tires of The Boreals Echo and Surly moonlander broke trail and the Salsa Beargrease and 9zero7 and me riding last on my Salsa Mukluk it was pretty ridable by then.

We took a few breaks chatted took shots of whiskey and enjoyed the weather and sights.

We started the ride at 6pm ish we stopped for photos rode out about 5.5 miles. oh yes and sips of the Billit Boubon nice social night ride I haven’t had this much fun on a fatbike since riding with the Ogden Fatbike Summit ride on the Snowbasin trail and BarBque. Wished I kinda lived closer to ride with this group more often.

We got back to the car it was about 9:30 pm
